Fastball’s All the Pain Money Can Buy has attitude and creativity in all 13 cuts, with sounds ranging from a soul/funk vibe to rhythmic swing with horns.
Miles Zuniga on guitar/vocals, Tony Scalzo on bass/vocals, and Joey Shuffield on drums make up this Austin, Tex. trio, who were previously known as Magneto USA. The group caused a sensation in Texas, landed a deal with Hollywood Records, and changed their name to Fastball shortly before releasing a debut album in 1996.
Although I enjoyed all the tracks on this CD, "Which Way To The Top?" featuring guest vocalist Poe is my favorite.
Fastball will tour throughout March and April.
